What Happens Inside the AMAU Mentorship
Updated
If you’re accepted into mentorship, you’ll receive support to help you stay steady in your studies.
It’s not about adding more work. It’s about helping you stay consistent, understand what you’re learning, and actually benefit from it.
Here’s what that looks like.
Progress and accountability
Your progress on the platform is followed, so you don’t lose track.
This includes things like:
- how regularly you watch lessons
- how you’re doing in quizzes and exams
- how consistent you’ve been over time
This isn’t to pressure you. It’s there to help you stay disciplined and spot where you might be struggling.
You’re also expected to be open. If something feels difficult, speak to your mentor.
One-to-one sessions
You may have one-to-one sessions where you can speak directly with a mentor.
These are a chance to:
- ask about topics you don’t fully understand
- talk through any difficulties
- get advice on how to study better
- reflect on how you’re progressing
These sessions are there to guide you in a way that fits your situation.
Note: One-to-one guidance is available to all enrolled students, not only those in mentorship. It’s especially useful if you’re trying to build consistency or choose the right path in your studies.
Study and revision sessions
At times, there will be group sessions focused on revising and strengthening what you’ve already studied.
These may include:
- going over past lessons
- clearing up difficult points
- preparing for exams
- reinforcing key ideas
Come prepared. Bring your questions or notes so you can benefit properly.
Guidance beyond lessons
Mentorship isn’t only about finishing content. You’ll also be guided in how you study and how you carry what you learn into your life. This can include:
- building a steady routine
- setting realistic goals
- staying disciplined
- trying to act upon what you learn
The aim is growth that stays with you, not just information you move past.
Learning with others
You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll be learning alongside others who are also trying to stay consistent. This may include:
- group discussions
- shared study sessions
- quiet encouragement from others on the same path
That environment helps you keep going, especially when things feel slow.
A final note
Mentorship isn’t something extra to collect.
It’s support to help you continue.
If you’re given that support, make use of it. Stay sincere, stay committed, and take your studies seriously.
